The block
Tom pressed his way into a sore shoulder in his thirties and stopped benching altogether. He came to me online with a home rack, a bench and a lot of caution.
We filmed every top set. Most of the change was setup: feet, upper back and a bar path that came down lower on the chest. The weight followed the setup, about five pounds every second week.
He benches 155 lb for three now, without pain, and keeps the old 95 lb for warm-ups.
Week 1
95 lb
Week 8
115 lb
Week 16
135 lb
Week 24
155 lb
